Hire me.

Roland Tanglao once asked me when I was planning to leave the public sector (aka Neverland). At the time, I think I said I “really liked university.” (Well, that’s not true. I liked university, but I also really liked working with these people.) But I guess I can’t stay in the school-bubble forever.

I’ve graduated now, and it’s time to join the ranks of code pirates/ninjas proper. Yes… farewell, Neverland. I’ll miss you.

If you, or someone you know, is looking for someone with:

  • >= 3.14 years of user interface and web development experience
  • PHP (and CakePHP), Ruby (and Rails), C/C++ dev experience
  • Flash, Java and C# proficiency (my C# is rusty but I’m dusting it off)
  • minor graphics progging with OpenGL/GLUT (I’ve used other proprietary libraries at the othEAr place, but that doesn’t reallyyy count because those guys are super hardcore)
  • proficiency with Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows dev environments
  • has planned/organized events large and small
  • has given workshops, also at gatherings large and small
  • has some experience community building
  • has argued with Zed Shaw (never about code, thankfully — that certainly would have been a baptism by fire)
  • cried while reading Harry Potter
  • attempted to learn Sindarin
  • loses almost every game of Settlers of Catan she has ever played, but will pwn you in Carcasonne or Puerto Rico
  • liked MMOs before WoW
  • makes a great espresso macchiato

let me know. Or point them to http://unstressedvowel.com.

Thanks!

Congrats on hitting the job market. Care to come by the office and test your espresso macchiato making skills?

I kid, I kid! :P
